Posting or matching here doesn’t change your allocation on its own — every swap still has to go through HETI directly. Categories 1–3 can only swap with each other, and categories 4–6 can only swap with each other, per HETI’s NSW Health Priority List.
The deadline for the 2027 clinical year is 9:00am Monday 7 September 2026. Requests received after this won’t be actioned. Every swap requires a statutory declaration confirming no payment has been offered or accepted. Swaps involving payment will not be actioned, and may end an applicant’s engagement entirely. Listings or messages that mention money in any form will be removed. This board only sends email — there's no SMS/text option. If someone wants to swap with you, the only way you'll find out is by checking that inbox (including spam/junk) while your listing is live. Whether it’s a Network (N01–N15) or an RPR position (R01–R13), it must be your real, current HETI offer. Removed automatically — post again if you still need a swap. Harassment or repeated unwanted contact can result in removal. Report a concern straight away — including anyone offering an incentive. Every swap still has to be confirmed directly with HETI by both people involved. Posting or matching here is only the first step — see exactly how below. Your listing is NOT visible to anyone until you click it — this stops fake listings being posted in someone else's name. Unconfirmed listings delete themselves within 24 hours. Browse listings yourself, or wait for someone to find yours through the filters. "Request contact" reaches the poster by email without ever showing you their address directly.
Both of you email a swap request form and statutory declaration to HETI-Internship@health.nsw.gov.au before 9:00am Monday 7 September 2026. RPR swaps need written JMO Manager approval attached. 14 days after posting — no need to remove it manually once you’re matched. This directory doesn’t verify anyone’s identity. Only share what’s needed to arrange a swap, and use your own judgement — a phone call or video chat before committing to anything is a reasonable step. No — this is a NSWMSC initiative. HETI’s own guidelines name NSWMSC as a recognised channel for finding a swap partner, but every swap still needs HETI’s separate confirmation. Only with someone in the same residency category group as you. Students in Categories 1, 2, or 3 may swap with any other student in Categories 1, 2, or 3. Students in Categories 4, 5, or 6 may swap with any other student in Categories 4, 5, or 6. A swap between the two groups — for example, Category 2 with Category 5 — isn’t permitted. Yes — Networks (N01–N15) and Rural Preferential Recruitment positions (R01–R13) are one combined pool on this board, and cross-list swaps are allowed. NOTE: swaps to, from, or between two RPR hospitals — or between an RPR hospital and a Metro Network — must have approval from the JMO Manager(s) of the RPR hospital(s) involved. Get that approval in writing before you email HETI. To stop people posting fake listings in someone else's name.
